Norman replaced a tile which

Norman replaced a tile which had come off the roof of my bungalow. He replaced the tile and the guttering which had broken when the tile came off. I was worried because rain was forecast and he appreciated this. I was pleased with his work. He came when he said he would, phoned to let me know when he would be there and arrived on time! If I have any more problems with the roof, I would definitely contact him again.

Norman MacLeod’s roofing services were recommended to us by family. We needed a 100% roof replacement in a very weather-exposed location.

Throughout the complex project, which lasted the best part of 3 weeks due to very mixed weather, and involved Velux windows, vents, chimneys and a balcony, we were impressed by Norman’s roofing skills – he is a perfectionist! – and also by his project management skills regarding his team and his supply chain. All the old material was disposed of at the end and the site left immaculate.

He consulted with us throughout and at no stage during the project was our house left vulnerable to the weather.

We contracted Norman to replace our old roof after seeing the excellent job he did on a nearby property. The job involved stripping the roof completely, insulating between the joists, refitting the roofing boards and tiling with slate type roof tiles. I was given Norman’s name /number from a friend who had recently completed his own self build project, using Norman to slate his roof, and the workmanship was immaculate. I asked Norman to price my own self build and he came back promptly with a very competitive price, and a very accurate materials list. The job was completed quickly and to a high standard. His preparation work at the start was excellent and attention to detail was evident throughout. Finally, the fact that he tidied up after himself was a welcome sight! I am delighted with our roof and would have no hesitation in using Norman’s services again or recommending him. In fact several friends who have visited and work in the building/construction industry have commented about the brilliant appearance of our roof.
